Our Story





we’re a modern design-loving family collaborative, creating small-batch products & unique pieces of art 

 

We’re Lani & Leah – sisters who like to make things in our home-based art studio. It was born out of a mutual love of design for the home and making objects by hand. And we’ve been doing arts and crafts together since we were kids.

 

 

 

 

When it came to naming our shop, we knew it had to be about family. We come from a family of makers – painters, metalsmiths, sewers, builders, draftsmen, and cooks. And we have a pretty robust collection of visuals that represent our Scottish heritage... (and yes, we did highland dancing).

 

 

 



But what’s family without including extended family? So, Leah’s married name entered the brainstorm. It also had an instant visual translating to plum blossom in English.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lani with her background in interior design and materials, and Leah with her background in graphic design and illustration, have now our combined influences and unique experiences fuel our passion to make unique treasures for everyday inspiration.
